Next project on the loom - baby blanket

For my about-to-arrive-any-day-now newest niece.

Here I have the warp all beamed and ready to thread.  The colors are rather dark and sophisticated for a baby blankie, but they match her older sister's blanket.

A Bend in My Weaving Path

Wow, it's been almost a month since I posted anything.  I've reached a milestone in my journey, having ended a 30-year career in order to spend more time...weaving!  It's being quite an adjustment to being on my own time now: it seems a luxury to have so much of it all of a sudden.  And yet it's such a precious thing; the hourglass still measures its passing.  Here's an hourglass in sprang I'm putting in a scarf design.

So many weaves to explore, so much beauty to seek, endless grace to accept.
